Banner rotation system on www.eng.hifi.pl

Advertising banners on our website are displayed in a rotation system. Two banners sized 450x120px and one banner sized 700x160px are displayed on every page of www.eng.hifi.pl. There is a separate, independent loop for each banner size. The maximum number of pages in each loop is five. This enables display of five banners of the 700x160 size and ten banners of the 450x120 size. In other words, when all ad spaces are sold, a banner is displayed every fifth page (on the whole website, regardless of the pages viewed by the reader). Such choice is based on our experience from our Polish hifi.pl site. On average there are a little over five pages per visit.

Display of ads for users with disabled cookies
When cookies are disabled by the user a randomly chosen set of banners is displayed on each page. The rotation system does not work without cookies.

Display of ads for users who accept cookies
When cookies are enabled by the user, banners are displayed in loops in the rotation system. When a reader loads the first page during his/her visit to our website (it can be any page, not necessarily the home page) two random numbers are generated. One is for the loop with 450x120 banners and the second one is for the loop with 700x160 banners. When consecutive pages are viewed, consecutive banners from the two loops are displayed. When the last banner within a loop is reached, the loop restarts from the beginning. Please note that the point of entry to the loop is random. Thanks to this all the banners are displayed almost exactly te same number of times.
